Head of Employability

Anglia Ruskin University - Student Services

About Anglia Ruskin University:
Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investment. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.

About the role:
We’re seeking to appoint a Head of Employability to join Student Services, with responsibility for the strategic leadership of the Employability Service. In this post you’ll be responsible for driving forward our Employability Strategy and continuing to build on our reputation as a leading national and international university for student employability.

Our employability strategy takes a proactive approach to securing the best regional, national and international employment outcomes for the University’s students. The Employability Service provides leading-edge careers education, information and advice services to students and graduates and works collaboratively with senior faculty colleagues to embed employability into the curriculum.

Leading a team of professional, motivated staff who have our student’s success at the heart of what they do, you’ll work to ensure employers make Anglia Ruskin their university of choice for graduate recruitment.

With a higher degree or relevant professional qualifications at post graduate level, you’ll have significant leadership experience within a complex organisation, experience of delivering outstanding careers and employability services and a proven track record of strategic and operational planning. Additionally, an ability to develop relationships with external partners, employers and businesses is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious university and contribute to our future success.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place mid October 2017.
