The University of Bristol have a fantastic opportunity for a Unit Manager of the Student Union, Balloon kitchen bar operation. A leader who has passion and drive for delivering great sales, food and service.

The Unit Manager is part of the Residential and Hospitality Services team working in partnership with Bristol Student Union. Responsible for the management and operational delivery of a commercially successful, high volume, student Kitchen Bar as well as student events, pop up bars and external event bookings.

In this exciting role you will have:

  • A proactive approach to managing the day to day operations of the kitchen bar 
  • Ability to co-ordinate and plan the units activities and promotions
  • Be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure budgeted financial targets are achieved
  • Aptitude in coaching and developing diverse teams

You should have proven work experience in the capacity of a Restaurant Bar manager within a comparable catering operation and skills in the implementation of food and drink trends and International celebration events. You will need to have excellent presentation and front of house skills, be a strong people person, a Personal License Holder, IT literate with great organisational and catering business skills. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory health screening.

The post will operate a five day out of seven working pattern, in line with terms and conditions.
