Business Partnerships Manager (Productivity)

Lancaster University - Lancaster University Management School (LUMS)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), one of the top business schools in the UK, in the role of Business Partnerships Manager (Productivity), within the Business Engagement Team.

LUMS is committed to engagement with business and has recently established a central Business Engagement Team to build and maintain partnerships, networks and engagement activities with business and policy makers.  The team undertakes outstanding work in the fields of executive education and customised programmes for large, small, public and private sector organisations; provides a gateway to access academic research and expertise; and facilitates and enables work with the student body.

Productivity is the theme of this role and academic leadership will be provided by the School’s Centre for Productivity and Efficiency.  This Centre is devoted to researching the measurement, analysis, management and improvement of productivity.

Under the direction of the Head of Business Engagement (International) you will be responsible for leading, developing and delivering the University’s Productivity theme within the Management School and more widely across the University. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will build and maintain relationships with external organisations and internal stakeholders to develop and support productivity initiatives regionally, nationally and internationally.  The role has a primary focus on diverse income generation and the demonstration of impact from executive and professional development, economic regeneration projects, collaborative and contract research and student based industrial partnerships.

This is a challenging role for an enthusiastic and driven professional, to lead and develop the University’s productivity theme with a proven ability to develop, win and deliver projects with external organisations, in partnership with University colleagues.
For an informal discussion of the role, please contact the Head of Business Partnerships (International), Helen Fogg (

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
