The College’s new Learning and Teaching Strategy, launched in June 2017, is in search of an organised, proactive and diplomatic EO to join their ambitious team and to provide direct support to the Vice Provost of Education, Professor Simone Buitendijk. Professor Buitendijk is leading the implementation of a strategy, which will be underpinned by significant new investment in education, aiming for the College to be established as a global leader in innovative, evidence based education.

This high impact and high visibility position will rely on an extremely motivated and skilled EO who will be able to ensure the smooth running of the Education Office. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Vice-Provost in her external work, including the support of scholarly activity, international collaborations and networks.
  • Ensuring the co-ordination of initiatives across College and the effective exchange of information and ideas,
  • Ensuring alignment with the Learning and Teaching Strategy and the College’s broader mission and strategy.

This position will draw on experience gained in a position such as Senior Parliamentary Assistant, Parliamentary Assistant, Private Secretary, Assistant Private Secretary, Chief of Staff, Assistant Chief of Staff or similar. This experience ideally will have been gained in a higher education, government, NHS/Healthcare, science, pharmaceutical or similar environment

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will need excellent organisational and communication skills, coupled with the ability to develop strong and productive working relationships with a broad range of internal and external staff. Having the ability to join the dots and make things happen is also a must.
