Research Associate in Health Informatics

The successful applicant will carry out a wide range of duties including high quality risk prediction research using linked electronic health records, for example using large scale record linkages across primary care, hospital episodes statistics, disease and procedure registries and death registry (CALIBER) and large diabetic retinopathy databases. This post is central to a newly established international project and will be undertaken in collaboration with Farr Institute of Health Informatics Research. 

As well as carrying out research, the post-holder will be responsible for national and international methods workshops, and teaching and training.

The position is funded for an initial period of 3 years.

Essential criteria for this post is a PhD in a relevant quantitative discipline, a strong previous publication record and competence in R or similar statistical software and experience in running Cox models and survival analysis.
