This new full-time post is available with immediate effect on a fixed term basis until 31 July 2018. 

The Education and Student Support (ESS) Directorate is seeking to employ a Study Abroad Assistant based on the Streatham Campus. This varied role is split between the University of Exeter central Study Abroad Team and the Business School’s International Development Team. The post holder will assist with a variety of inbound and outbound mobility activities including recruitment, promotion and application guidance. 

The ESS Directorate is one of the largest Professional Services Teams and is responsible for delivering world-class educational services to Colleges whilst ensuring the best possible experience for our students and academics. 

The Study Abroad Assistant will be expected to:

  • Assist with the processing and record keeping of Inbound Study Abroad Student applications
  • Facilitate and support the promotion and administration of students applying for summer school programmes
  • Maintain and promote social media resources
  • Assist with the organisation of any partner university visits 

The successful applicant for this post will be the first point of contact for inbound and outbound exchange students, ensuring a high level of customer service to these students across a range of activities, including recruitment, promotion, preparation, application guidance and on-placement support. You will have experience of working flexibly as part of a team and working independently to deliver an outstanding customer service experience. You will have excellent administrative skills, experience of prioritising and working to tight deadlines and strong IT skills, attention to detail, as well as willingness to work in a culture of change and growth.
