Applications are invited for a Research Associate Position in Materials Chemistry within an EPSRCManufacturing the Future project titled “Soft Processing to Enable the Low Impact, Sustainable Manufacture of Inorganic Materials and Advanced Inorganic Semiconductor Composites” in the world-leading group of Professor Paul O’Brien CBE FRS (https://royalsociety.org/people/paulobrien12015/;https://scholar.google.co.uk/citations?user=zfmka2wAAAAJ&hl=en ).

You will prepare and study new state-of-the-art semiconductor polymer composites in a range of dimensionalities and investigate the roles of semiconductor morphology on optoelectronic performance. You will also pioneer the use of advanced printing techniques to enable deposition of binary, ternary and quaternary metal chalcogenide semiconductors on a range of flexible substrates.

You will also be expected to supervise junior members of the lab on a day to day basis including visitors of a range of nationalities and backgrounds. You will have a good appreciation of excellent laboratory safety standards and will be expected to act as a safety champion for the laboratory throughout their tenure.
